Terms for using the Raintree Press catalog, reader, library, downloads, papers, and publication artifacts.
Use of the site
Raintree Press provides a catalog, public samples, reader pages, direct library access, downloads, papers, and related publication materials. You may use the site for lawful reading, research, purchase, and account activity.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure. Access to non-public reader chapters and downloads may require an active entitlement for the relevant book.
Purchases and availability
Direct checkout is offered only when a title is final and available for sale through Raintree Press. In-production samples, chapter lists, covers, metadata, prices, formats, and publication plans may change before release.
Downloads
When DRM-free EPUB or PDF files are provided, they are for the entitled customer's personal use unless a separate license says otherwise. Download access does not grant permission to resell, redistribute, upload, or remove attribution from the files.
Papers and artifacts
Formal papers, companion artifacts, hashes, datasets, and generated files are provided for study, citation, and reproducibility. Version notes, licenses, and source links attached to a specific paper or artifact control that material.
Intellectual property
Books, samples, essays, papers, covers, site design, trademarks, and publication materials are owned by Raintree Press, Raintree Technology, or their licensors unless a page states a different license.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the site, bypass access controls, abuse checkout or download systems, attempt unauthorized access, scrape private account areas, or use the service in a way that harms other readers or the publishing operation.
External platforms
Kindle, print-on-demand, wide distribution, payment, email, and other external services are governed by their own terms when you use those platforms.
Changes
Raintree Press may update these terms as the catalog, reader, download system, or publication formats evolve. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated terms apply.
